IFS organises a variety of lunchtime seminars, most of which take place at the IFS between 12.30 and 13.30. All seminars listed below are open to the general public and there is no need to register your place unless specifically requested. Attendees should come to the ‘conference entrance’ of the Institute. A sandwich lunch will be provided.

How should the design of incentives vary with the time preferences of agents? We formulate predictions for two incentive contract variations that should increase efficacy for impatient agents relative to patient ones: increasing the frequency of incentive payments, and making the contract “dynamically non-separable” by only rewarding compliance in a given period if the agent complies in a minimum number of other periods.
