At this event, IFS researchers will present the key findings from the latest in the series of flagship IFS annual reports on living standards, poverty and inequality in the UK. Funded by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, the report will analyse the official data on the distribution of household income in the UK, up to and including the latest year of data for 2014-15.
The report will look in detail at trends in incomes and poverty, at which groups are doing better or worse, and at the underlying role of factors such as worklessness and low pay in explaining the patterns we see. It will also draw out the lessons for policy and for the measurement of poverty that can be learnt from the data.
The event will begin at 10:00 with registration from 9:30am.
